Cyclist killed in motor vehicle accident - 47abc

DAGSBORO, Del. – A crash involving a bicycle left one person dead Saturday evening in Dagsboro.
According to police, at 6:14 p.m. a ford F-150 was traveling south on Dupont Boulevard when a man riding an E-bike, also heading south, attempted to cross the road, putting himself directly in the path of the Ford.
The truck was unable to avoid the bike and the two collided.
The cyclist– a 79-year-old man from Dagsboro, was pronounced dead on the scene. His identity is being withheld pending notification of family.
Delaware State Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
